Trader Joe's Packager Recalling 131,000 Pounds Of Frozen Pizzas

MONTEBELLO (AP) —  A California company is recalling 131,000 pounds of frozen pizza products found at Trader Joe's stores because they contain an allergen not declared on the label.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the Trader Joe's Pizza Al Pollo Asado contains wheat, but it's not listed on the labels.

The pizzas were produced by Completely Fresh Foods of Montebello between Jan. 27 and March 27 and shipped to Trader Joe's stores nationwide.

The 10-ounce packages bear the establishment number "EST. P-974" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

A Trader Joe's spokeswoman says all the affected products have  been removed from its stores.

The USDA says the problem was discovered as part of a routine inspection.
