The girl and a friend were walking home from Calle Mayor Middle School and were on the sidewalk in front of Seaside Elementary when the suspect drove a vehicle to a stop sign and stopped, police said.

"The victim looked at the vehicle because it paused at the stop sign for approximately one minute," police said. "When the victim looked at the driver/suspect through the open front window, he looked back at her and smiled without saying a word. The victim then observed that the suspect was not wearing any clothing below the waist and that he was exposed."

The suspect then drove away. The girl and her friend ran to an elementary school and reported what happened.

The man was described as Hispanic, 35-45 years old, with a medium to dark complexion, brown eyes, and short spiky black hair. He was driving a small, silver-colored, 4-door vehicle that was dirty, police said. Anyone knowing more about the case was urged to call Detective Marcure, (310) 618- 5536.
