STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Look for some warmer weather Tuesday...getting closer to, if not a little above average for this time of year.
The Los Angeles area will see sunny skies and daytime high generally in the 70s. We are experiencing a strengthening ridge of high pressure in combination with a stronger off-shore flow. Winds are going to start shifting to the North and eventually the Northeast over the next 48 hours. The entire event will peak on Thursday with temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Look for gusty winds to develop below our passes and canyons. We will cool off just a bit for the weekend.
Coastal - upper 60s
Basin - low to mid 70s
Valleys - upper 70s
Deserts - low 70s
Mountains - upper 50s
