Man Flees On Foot After Robbing Riverside Doughnut Shop

RIVERSIDE (CBS) — Police said a gunman made off with an undisclosed sum of cash Sunday after holding up a doughnut shop in Riverside.

The armed suspect walked into the shop at Adams Plaza on Adams Street at Briarwood Drive about 1:10 a.m., Riverside police Lt. Melissa Bartholomew said.

The man demanded cash from the lone employee, who handed over an undisclosed sum, Bartholomew said.

The gunman apparently fled on foot as no getaway car was seen.
