Bernard Parks Reelected To Third Term, Final Vote Tally Shows

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Final vote tallies released Friday by the city clerk's office say Los Angeles City Councilman Bernard Parks has been reelected to a third term over the Eighth District.

According to the city clerk, Parks received9,482 votes, or 51.21 percent of the votes from the March 8 election.

Forescee Hogan-Rowles, the next closest vote-getter, got 8,058 votes, or 43.52 percent of the vote.

Jabari Jumaane received 975 votes, or 5.27 percent.

Parks had declared victory on election night, after receiving 50.89 percent of the votes, but Hogan-Rowles did not concede. The final tally includes provisional and vote-by-mail ballots.
