CARPENTERIA (CBS) — Authorities have arrested a hit and run suspect after he led them on a high speed chase on the Ventura Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the chase began around 11:15 a.m. Friday after a driver of a pick-up truck fatally hit a motorcyclist at Del Norte and the 101 Freeway in Oxnard.

Authorities said the driver clipped the motocyclist when he was changing lanes and continued driving on the 101.

He was later arrested north of Santa Barbara near El Capitan State Beach.

The motorcyclist died on the scene.

The hit and run event is tragic.
But the lack of due diligence on the part of these “journalists” are taking away from the real news.
Instead of the readers focusing on the news, it becomes an easter egg hunt for typos and grammatical errors.

There were under 100 words in that “article” including the title and yet no one spotted the spelling error. And the spelling error was in the TITLE of all places.

I am sure the article will be corrected later on. After the reading public had proofread the work and provided their constructive feedback.

Here’s the original title for those who missed the typo:

And they said you need at least a high school diploma, and college degree preferred, to work at these places?
Wow, educational standards have really taken a dive since I was in school and reading real (paper) books.

Valley: Have you read what high school “graduates” are writing these days? Abysmal to say the least! They can’t spell, construct sentences or form cognitive thoughts. And don’t even look at their punctuation!

Awful! Must have just missed it, thankfully. It was bad enough to see the individual covered by a white sheet. On the way back they went to 1 lane and CBS was out there and traffic was backed all the way up towards newbury park. Poor family!

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was a co-worker of mine. We will miss him. His daughter lost a baby around a year ago and now this… Wow!
