Step Into Spring With Make-Up Tips From Beauty Expert Carmindy
Make-up artist and beauty expert, Carmindy, stopped by the KCAL 9 studios at noon Wednesday to give viewers some spring beauty tips.
This season’s best look? Flawless skin and pops of peach and coral colors. Here are Carmindy’s favorite tips and products this spring.
STEP 1: The easiest way to create a flawless complexion is to choose a weightless, spray on foundation – a favorite makeup artists’ tool because the coverage is sheer but buildable if you need more. Lightly spray the face, making sure not to leave a line at your chin. Blend with a sponge if you see any spots that need it, like around the nose.

STEP 2: Add some spring pops of color to your now perfect complexion. Apply a cherub or coral blush for a healthy, natural and bright glow. In warmer climates use a powder blush as it stays put longer even if you sweat a little.

STEP 3: Highlighting is a major MUST this spring. Make sure you use a highlighter that is sheer and not glittery. Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Powder stays on all day and can be used everywhere on the face from the cheekbones to the inner corner of the eye and under the brow bone. Using highlighter makes the face look incredibly healthy and awake (even on days you’re not).

STEP 4: Beautiful, natural eyes should complement your bolder cheeks. A really good mascara should be all you need. Look for a formula that elongates and thickens the look of your lashes while helping them grow longer and stronger.

STEP 5: The final touch is a little color and shine on your lips. A pretty coral pink complements almost all complexions. Choose a gloss that will stay on AND protect your lips with vitamins and antioxidants.
