CHINO (AP) — A former California high school teacher caught climbing a ladder to a teenager’s bedroom has pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say 41-year-old John Ralph Hirsch pleaded guilty guilty to two felonies, unlawful sexual intercourse and committing a lewd act on a child.
The Inland Valley Daily Bulletin says the former Chino Hills High School science teacher will be sentenced in Chino Superior Court on April 6 to a year in jail and he will be ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Prosecutors say one of the girl’s neighbors saw Hirsch climbing a ladder up to the girl’s second-floor bedroom window last June and confronted him. He was arrested at the school the following day.
