Robert Rizzo Due Back In Court Tuesday

BELL (CBS) — Former Bell manager Robert Rizzo, who has been ordered to stand trial on charges of misappropriating millions of dollars from the city, is due in court Tuesday.

Rizzo faces more than 50 counts of fraud, including 44 counts of misappropriation of public funds.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Henry J. Hall is set to determine if there is sufficient evidence to require Rizzo, 57, to stand trial on one felony count each of conflict of interest and misappropriation of public funds.

The hearing is expected to take about a day.

Rizzo's former top assistant, Angela Spaccia, is charged with four counts of misappropriation of public funds.
An arraignment has been set for March 24.
