AZUSA (CBS) — Police said a dead body was found Saturday in the San Gabriel River in Azusa, but no foul play was immediately suspected.

The body was discovered just before 3 p.m. on Fish Canyon Road, said Sgt. John Madaloni of the Azusa Police Department.

Someone called police and reported the body, and directed police to the location when they arrived.

“Due to the swift-running water, officers determined that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s rescue helicopter was needed to confirm the citizen’s observation,” Madaloni said.

The sergeant said the body was recovered but has not yet been positively identified.

An investigation into the death was under way, and the cause of death was expected to be determined by the coroner’s office, Madaloni said.

“No signs of foul play are apparent at this time,” he said.

With “69” in its stupid name, how can you expect it to have any respect for anything, even for itself, since its more of a nobody than the person who died.

“DEAD Body” a little “overkill” don’t you think??? On another note “No signs of foul play are apparent at this time,” means a cop killed him

If this is who I fear it is, My deepest sympathy to his brothers and family. He was
ALWAYS kind, generous, quiet, respectful, and just an all around nice guy to be around. I pray that u now have a heavenly guitar to play and are at peace with the Father. God bless you and all who are saddened by your passing.
