Charlie Sheen Calls Weapons Search ‘Awesome’

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Los Angeles police say they have searched actor Charlie Sheen’s home for guns that might be in violation of a temporary restraining order that was obtained last week by his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller.

Police service representative Stacy Ball at the Van Nuys station says officers arrived at Sheen’s home late Thursday afternoon and conducted a search for several hours that concluded around 10:30 p.m. She says officers retrieved one weapon, an antique gun.

Ball says such searches are routine in which a person is subject to a restraining order.

Authorities say Sheen was cooperative.

Sheen later tweeted the Los Angeles Police were, “AWESOME. Absolute pros! they can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!!”

Earlier Thursday night, attorneys for Sheen and his estranged wife Brooke Mueller issued a statement saying the pair had “reached an agreement that resolves their differences.”

The statement said the details of the arrangement were being kept confidential for the benefit of their twin sons.

Mueller obtained a temporary restraining order against Sheen earlier this month, claiming he threatened her on a recent trip to the Bahamas. A hearing had been scheduled for March 22.
