Man Barricades Himself Inside Bonaventure Hotel Room

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A man, who may be armed, has barricaded himself inside a hotel room in downtown Los Angeles.

Security went to the man's room at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel on Figueroa street to ask him to leave after he refused to check out.  According to Los Angeles police officer Mel Miranda of Central Station, the man told security guards that he has a gun.

Police say a SWAT team is en route to negotiate with the victim and several of the surrounding rooms have been evacuated.  Flower Street was also closed during the investigation.
