usually, in this situation, the driver of the car that didn’t crash is arrested for vehicular manslaughter for contributing to the accident and death. surely they aren’t going to do that here, the parents would lose both sons. besides, i think he’s already received his sentence and will be reminded of it every time someone in his family looks at him.

the survivng brother should never be allowed to drive again. ever. and he should devote the next few years of his life to speaking to other young latinos (street racing seems to be rooted firmly in latino culture these days) about this pointless past time. he’d prove to them that street racing never has positive results, there are no prizes or trophies, and that even the winners ultimately lose. he should WANT to do it, not be forced to by the courts. it is the only way anything good could ever possibly arise from this tragedy and the surviving brother owes it to society, his parents, and himself…but really to his dead brother, to contribute something good to the world to fill the void where his brother once was.

Should have the PINK SLIP SEIZED, 1 year DL suspension, & jail time. CA passed a new law that Racers will lose their Car & PINK SLIP seized even if the car(s) have Leinholder(s) on their title.

Same year same law in effect for illegal dumping & solicitating prostitutes. ALL 3 of these crimes results in Loss of Vehicle & PINK SLIP. Jail time, fines, fees, DL suspensions, etc..

RACING IS PROHIBITED, there’s a law against street racing or any non-sponsored, non-sanctioned, unauthorized street racing.

They should’ve confiscated the car/pink slip & haul the surviving racer brother to Jail.
