Man Accused Of Burning Ex's Body In Front Of Her 6 Kids Surrenders

MORENO VALLEY (CBS) — Police announced Monday that the man wanted for allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend in front of her six children has surrendered to authorities.

Bail for 38-year-old Tyrone Levoid Harts has been set at $1 million.

Harts, a former live-in boyfriend of 35-year-old Brandi Marie Morales, was named the suspect in her murder Friday.

Police believe Harts murdered the victim and set the body ablaze in front of her six children.

Morales' body was found around 12:50 a.m. Feb. 22 in a two-story house in the 11800 block of Wild Flax Lane, said Sgt. Brian Reno of the Moreno Valley Police Department.

Harts, a Riverside resident, had previously lived with the victim and her children.

Harts is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 300 pounds.
