LA Ranks Last On Travel + Leisure's List For Best Coffee
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The city of Angels has made the Travel + Leisure's list of America's Best Coffee Cities – but just barely.
The magazine's coffee connoisseurs voted on where to get the best cup and Los Angeles landed on the list dead last. At least LA, home to chain Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, made the list, right?
Not surprisingly, Seattle – home and headquarters of coffee giant Starbucks – was ranked No. 1 for the best coffee. San Francisco landed on the list at No. 3 and San Diego ranked at No. 12.
Strangely, the list included cities like Anchorage, Alaska (at No. 18) and didn't include the Big Island of Hawaii – home to, you know, farms cultivating Kona premium coffee beans, which can only be grown on the slopes of the Hualalai and Mauna Loa volcanoes.
