Missing Girlfriend Of Palm Springs Cop Found Alive

RIVERSIDE (CBS/AP) — A Palm Springs police lieutenant, who had been accused of assaulting and kidnapping his girlfriend, was released from jail Sunday, but police say the case is still open.

Lt. Abraham Tokier apparently remains on paid administrative leave while Palm Springs police sort out the events of the last week.

Police in Lake Havasu City say 37-year-old Dawn Foster was located Saturday morning. They won't disclose details of where or how she was found in the Arizona-California border city.

Sgt. Joe Harrold says Foster was in good condition and was questioned by police before being released.

He says Lake Havasu was asked by police in California's Cathedral City to look for Foster after her family and friends hadn't heard from her since Feb. 24.

KNX 1070's Bill Cooper says that Tokier reportedly has a history of domestic violence against Foster.

Foster was uncooperative about providing information in the on-going investigation involving Tokier's alleged domestic violence, said Lt. Charles Robinson of the Cathedral City Police Department.

Robinson said late Saturday that the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney for review.
