Transition Road Between 101, 405 In The Valley To Be Closed

SHERMAN OAKS (CBS) — The transition road between two busy freeways in the San Fernando Valley will be closed Sunday morning, Caltrans officials advised Saturday.

Right lanes on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway will be closed approaching the San Diego (405) Freeway interchange from 6 a.m. to noon.

That means the ramps from eastbound 101 to both directions of the 405 will be closed, as well as the eastbound exits to Hayvenhurst and Haskell avenues, and the 101-405 transition road exit to Ventura Boulevard.

Motorists heading east on the 101 and who need to get to the 405 Sunday morning can exit at Balboa Boulevard and use either Burbank or Ventura boulevards to reach the 405.

Great story…. yeah, we now know that it’s going to be closed, but, um, isn’t part of your job to report the whole story? The obvious question we would all like to know is WHY will the lanes be closed. jeez. Hey reporter, didn’t they cover how to write a news story at some point in your pursuit of a communications degree?
