SANTA ANA (CBS) — One hundred and eighty jobs have been cut by UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement in Santa Ana as part of a company consolidation.

The layoffs were announced Thursday and were the most recent for the company in Orange County.

UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement is one of six operating businesses of UnitedHealth Group. About 7,000 UnitedHealth Group workers are still employed in California.

yes and while they consolidated and needed to streamline- the fact they took all there employees on 4 buses over to Hotel like it was field trip and then told them they basically lost their jobs; once done they put them back on the bus with many people in tears and to their cars… When United acquired PacifiCare their memos went from Dear Employee to Human Capitol… this says it all… Healthcare cannot be fully managed out of Minnesota Execs?
