Palm Springs Police Lieutenant Arrested In Connection With Girlfriend's Disappearance
CATHEDRAL CITY (AP) — Authorities say they have arrested a Palm Springs police lieutenant whose girlfriend has been missing for eight days.
Cathedral City police Lt. Charles Robinson said Friday that 20-year veteran Abraham Tokier is being held on suspicion of domestic violence.
Robinson says Tokier's 37-year-old girlfriend was reported critically missing Tuesday after family and friends hadn't heard from her since Feb. 24.
Detectives learned the pair had been in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City, Ariz., close to the time of Dawn Foster's disappearance.
Tokier was arrested Thursday in Cathedral City near Palm Springs and is being held on $500,000 bail. Police say he is not participating with their investigation. It is not clear if he has hired an attorney.
Robinson says police are "extremely concerned" for Foster's safety.
