City Begins Graffiti Tracking Program Friday
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A citywide graffiti tracking program begins Friday.
KNX 1070's John Brooks reports Los Angeles officials are shooting for the 70 per cent reduction that Orange County claims it saw after the sheriff's deputies implemented the tracking system.

The Tracking and Automated Graffiti Removal System allows graffiti cleaning crews to take pictures of graffiti with smart phones.
Those photos are then uploaded to an LAPD database and used to gather evidence for prosecution and restitution.
The city spends about 10 million dollars a year cleaning up graffiti.
