Apple Offering $100 Refund To iPad Buyers

CUPERTINO (CBS) — Apple Inc. is giving its customers money back if they purchased its original version of the iPad.

The company is giving iPad customers a $100 refund as well as a drop in price, from $499 to $399. Apple says the refund is only available to customers who purchased their iPad within the two weeks before the discount was announced and it must have been bought at an Apple store.

Apple announced a new version of its tablet, the iPad 2, this week. It goes on sale March 11.
