Glendale, Arizona (CBS/AP)– Brett Carroll’s sacrifice fly scored the go-ahead run and Kila Ka’aihue added a three-run homer in the eighth inning, rallying the Kansas City Royals to an 11-5 victory
over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday.

The Royals overcame a three-run deficit and then blew a two-run lead before improving to 3-1 this spring.

Ka’aihue homered for the first time this spring, connecting on a 3-2 pitch from Luis Vasquez. Joaquin Arias added a two-run shot in the ninth.

Pinch-hitter Jarrod Dyson and Mitch Maier had RBI singles, giving the Royals a 5-3 lead in the sixth.

The Dodgers tied the game at 5 in the bottom of the inning when Justin Sellers singled in two runs.

Juan Castro slugged a 3-run HR and Andre Ethier made a fantastic catch in the Dodgers’ loss.
