Is Missing Woman Buried Under Her Husband's Restaurant?

TORRANCE (AP)  — Detectives investigating a Southern California woman's disappearance are digging up the floor of a restaurant belonging to her husband in a search for her body.

Tuesday's excavation of the Thyme Contemporary CafDe in Lomita comes a day after 47-year-old David Viens was arrested on suspicion of killing his wife Dawn, who went missing 16 months ago.

Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Dave Coleman said Tuesday that shortly after his wife's disappearance, David Viens closed his restaurant for renovations and poured concrete inside the eatery.

David Viens is recovering at a hospital after jumping off a cliff last week after reading a newspaper report that he was a suspect in his wife's death.
