4 Men Wanted After Attempted Kidnapping Of Girl In Wildomar
WILDOMAR (CBS) — Four men are wanted on suspicion of trying to abduct a 12-year-old girl in Wildomar as she walked home from school.
Sheriff's deputies say the four men drove up to her as she walked near the intersection of Gruwell and Darby streets about 2:15 p.m. Monday. The girl told deputies that one of them yelled, "Get her!" and the driver got out of the car.
The girl ran away and was unharmed, sheriff's Sgt. Steve de la Vara said. She was able to provide a description of the four men, whom she said had bothered her before.
"The occupants of the car a week earlier had whistled at the victim in this case," de la Vara said. "The car has been seen in the area before and three out of the four occupants were seen in the car previously."
The girl described the car as a small, white four-door compact with round tail lights that appeared to be connected across the back of the vehicle. It has several, 5-inch long scratches that run diagonally across the passenger door on the driver's side.
The driver was described as being in his 30s with blue/green eyes, a stubble mustache and tattoos on his upper left arm. One of the passengers was bald with no facial hair and a full tattoo on his left arm.
Anyone with information about the suspects can call the sheriff's department at (951) 245-3300.
