Woman Killed After Being Struck By Blue Line Train In Watts

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A woman was struck by a Metro Blue Line train in Watts Tuesday morning and was killed as her children watched.

Solanda Rodriguez, 57, was hit by the train in the 1600 block of East 103rd Street at about 6:05 a.m., Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.

The woman's children were not injured, according to Ed Winter of the coroner's office.
