Obama, Brown Threatened In Graffiti Messages In Santa Ana
SANTA ANA (AP) — Authorities are investigating graffiti messages threatening President Barack Obama and Governor Jerry Brown in an Orange County city near where threats to the governor were scrawled last month.
Santa Ana police Cmdr. Steve Colon says the spray-painted messages found Monday morning stated that both men "must die." The president was identified using a racist slur.
Colon says swastikas and anti-Semitic and anti-Mexican slogans were spray-painted nearby.
The graffiti was within a mile of the wall where death threats against Brown were spotted on Jan. 20.
Colon says police and California Highway Patrol officials are investigating the graffiti and that the U.S. Secret Service has been notified.
