PALM SPRINGS (CBS) — A Redondo Beach man was missing since Saturday has been found alive Monday in the Mount San Jacinto wilderness.
Brian Carrico, 57, went cross-country skiing Saturday morning and called family members around noon. A helicopter search crew spotted Carrico Monday afternoon near Wellman Divide at an elevation of 9,700 feet.
Two or more feet of snow fell in the area over the weekend. Rescuers say the 57-year-old made a snow cave and SOS markings. His condition is not known.
