ANAHEIM (CBS) — A Santa Ana judge will decide on Thursday whether a convicted child molester should be released on parole.

KNX 1070′s Mike Landa reports prosecutor Noorul Hasan says Douglas Mackenzie should be committed to a mental hospital because he is a danger to society.

Last month he pleaded guilty to molesting and videotaping a 10-year-old boy.

He was also investigated for a sex crime in Canada.

Mackenzie is eligible for parole because he gets credit for time served in Canadian jail.

Child molesters should not be eligible for parole. All they do is get out and find some other poor kid. Anyone who lets them out should be jailed themselves!
