Fire Damages North Hollywood Home

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Fire damaged a home Wednesday in North Hollywood where firefighters reported finding “packrat” conditions.

The fire in a single-story home in the 12700 block of West Emelita Street was reported about 1:30 p.m. and put out in 27 minutes, officials with the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Firefighters reported “packrat” condition in the garage, but it was not immediately clear where or how the fire started.

It was unclear if anyone was home when the fire started. No injuries were reported.
