LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Arnold Schwarzenegger may have left the State Capitol with low approval ratings, but the former governor says he’ll be back before the movie cameras soon.

KNX 1070’s Chris Sedens Reports

Schwarzenegger used a tweet to proclaim to his fans that he has given his agents “the green light” to start shopping for scripts.

“Exciting news,” said the governor. “My friends at CAA [Creative Artist Agency] have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today.”

Daniel Ketchell, a spokesman for Schwarzenegger, confirmed the Tweet’s accuracy to the Los Angeles Times.

    1. Lynn says:

Over the hill and chugging down the other side like a freakin’ freight-train baby, yeah!!!

  2. John M says:

Yeah he can do a movie where he lets a confessed attempted murderer go after he takes a plea from stabbing 2 people. Nunez is a pathetic loser, and his son is no better. Boycott Stinkanegger movies.

    1. joke says:

murderer took a plea deal for less time, and this fool say it’s too much. Won’t EVER go see this guys trash!!

  3. Bev says:

Will this dude just stay out of our faces!!! He is over already!!! OLD!!! Old is fine but not his kind of “old” – old mind, old face, old antiquated thoughts.

  4. Lenny says:

I’ve seen several of his movies and, although they weren’t too bad, Arnold is not much of an actor. Had he not performed his last minute pardon, I might have watched any new movies he made. Now, I will make it a point not to watch or contribute in any way to him or anything he is involved with.

    1. Not newsworthy says:

Well said he is just another fake Sacramento/Hollywood politician actor. Thts all he knows how to do is act and pretend. Boycott his ass, there is no justice people can’t u see it’s just us

    Project Idea:
    A possible weekly show; suggested movie with sequel;
A.S. as the controlling law enforcement, ( FBI, DEA, or other), who holds meetings with his team in the weight room. All of the team works out; not everyone is at the A.S. level, although all are comparable enforcement officers & agents; different expertises. Two pilots, three drivers, and one stunt driver of several ’60 yr. hot rod vehicles.

I have never seen any guy watse his life and talent the way AS has. As a movie actor he served the whole entire world, and himself financially. His movies were loved from Africa to Asia, from Aruba to Zimbabwe. Yet he forego this great service just so as to have the opportunity to argue with some stupid politicians. As a governor, he served no one but himself and was a pathetic failure. His true calling was a movie star particularly the terminator series. He abandon the whole world for a job which any stupid fool could have done.

Boo at the arnold haters, thats the best news i’ve heard in ten years as american action movies have largely sucked since arnold quit doing movies in the 90s (granted some stinkers). In fact i think he should be in a remake of Airforce One with arnold as the action president. As to all of the age bashing, agism is always funny until you hit 35, then you become the but of your own joke. Pretty idiotic society/hollwood is trying to people the world for 20-30 year olds as 35+ seems to be the new 90 when your 20s-30s are about 10% of your life most people living now 75+. As far as Arnold’s politics, I cant stand republicans personaly so i was never a huge fan of his politics and unfortunately ca is filled with republicans lol.You cant beat an A+ arnold action movie as an action movie star arnold was made for. Go watch justin beibre, I’ll stick to Arnold.

    1. James says:

He is a good movie star. I bet you the next movie he makes it going to be the best movie of all time.

    2. Bonita says:

I agree with you johnny. And, futhermore, just because he changed his career for a while, there is no reason for anyone to bash him. He has done his job in each of his occupations. I welcome him back as an entertainer. You are right about the agism, and it is not just in Hollywood, it is all over.

      Awesome, hilarious comment

  9. GregA says:

Don’t blame him. At least in the movies he can protend he’s something other than a girly man.

  10. Travis K says:

I liked Arnold and I am super disappointed by his last minute deal with Nunez. He really tarnished his image by making such an immoral decision to help a murderer because he is friends with his crooked dad.

I wonder how Arnold would feel if someone murders his son and the governor reduces the killers sentence.

  11. Anthony Napolitano says:

Everyone has there political, religious or personal oppinions about Arnold. But what stands to be is that Arnold is one of the most kick ass super heros that ever was and ever will be, and his story of comming to America and seeking his furtune is so classic to all americans is unsurpassed.

  12. grimey says:

I think Arnold is cool. Its good he’s going back to into films. He should try his hand at some romantic, love type films. “I’ll be bach, to make passionate love to you.” Im a romatic, the producers could get me to teach him. I need a job real bad!

  13. LOU says:

Acting is dead! reality shows like Pawn stars and cheaters much better than watchin an old wrinkled saggy actor with a horrible accent.

  14. Mr. Marquis says:

    Won’t Be Back!

  15. JR says:

I just want to see him bring Dutch back against The Predator one more time. There is some unfinished business there since 1986!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Jim says:

I’m glad Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting out of politics and back into movies. He’ll do less harm there.

  17. lausan says:

It appears Obama isn’t taking Arnold’s bid for a national post seriously so the weasel is crawling back to his old profession. He was never a great actor. Now he’s just a plastic looking old man , not a super hero.

  18. Nico says:

Arnie is a Piece of feces

  19. smith says:

A new movie opportunity? Well… How about .. a person who “tried to take over California” – but FAILED, and the Citizens called in another “superhero” to save the day?
