The Wrath Of Grapes! 2 Men Nabbed With Stolen Wine Worth $500K

BELL (AP) —  Police detectives in Bell have arrested two men on suspicion of trying to sell stolen wine with an estimated retail price of $500,000.

Bell police Capt. Steven Finkelstein told the Los Angeles Times on Friday that after getting a tip, the detectives saw a man trying to sell wine from a parking lot. They followed him and another man to a self-storage unit in Downey.

There, police found about 1,000 cases of wine that allegedly had been stolen from a truck in Ontario.

Authorities did not immediately release the names of the two men. Finkelstein says they were expected to be charged with possession of stolen property.
