HS Athletic Director Arrested For Child Porn Possesion

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Los Angeles high school athletic director and dean of discipline was arrested on suspicion of distributing child pornography after pictures and videos were found at his home, police said Thursday.

Bradley Ratcliff, 53, who worked at West Adams Preparatory High School in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles, was arrested Feb. 2 at his home, where a search turned up "numerous child pornography images and videos containing male victims," police said.

"At this time, LAPD investigators do not have any evidence that the images/videos Ratcliff was in possession of are of current or former students," police said.

Ratcliff was placed on administrative leave from the school. West Adams Preparatory is under the management of the nonprofit MLA Partner Schools, which chooses employees who are then formally hired by the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Ratcliff, who was also the head varsity football coach for the 2008 and
2009 seasons, was placed on administrative leave from the school.

He is free on $20,000 bail pending arraignment Feb. 25 on one felony
count each of possession of matter depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct and Internet distribution of child pornography. If convicted, he faces up to three years in state prison, according to
the District Attorney's Office.
