LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Two people suffered minor injuries in a fire that damaged a three-story house in the Pacific Palisades Thursday.

The fire was reported about 6:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Kingman Avenue, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.

Firefighters extinguished the flames within an hour and a half, Humphrey said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.

Humphrey said the fire apparently began in the basement/crawl space of the home, and spread to the roof, where some leaves had accumulated.
