Suspect In Double Shooting Sought

BEAUMONT (CBS) — Authorities Wednesday are hoping a photo will help track down a Beaumont man suspected of shooting two people.

Jimmy Angel Valenzuela, 20, is accused of shooting two men on Jan. 27 in the 900 block of Chestnut Avenue, according to Beaumont police.

The victims were walking through an alley near their residences when they were confronted by a man with a gun, who fired several shots. The motive for the shooting is unclear, authorities said.

The victims, whose names were withheld, are recovering, according to police.

Valenzuela has black hair and brown eyes, stands 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 and weighs around 185 pounds.

"He is considered armed and dangerous," officials said.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should call the Beaumont Police Department at (951) 769-8500.
