Several Arrested For Vandalizing Metro Trains, Buses

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Authorities are conducting a sting targeting a tagging crew that allegedly caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages to buses and Metro trains.

Investigators served 17 arrest warrants and conducted six probation compliance checks in Palmdale, South Los Angeles and Hawthorne.

Some arrests were made, but the six-month investigation of the BDSK tagging crew is still ongoing, Lt. Vince Carter of the Sheriff's Transit Services Bureau said.

The tagging crew has affiliates in a wide geographical area stretching from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, Carter said.

The Los Angeles crew targeted buses and Metro Green Line trains, and much of the vandalism occurred near the 105 and 110 freeways, Carter said.
