CHP Program Aimed At Teen Road Safety
TEMECULA (CBS) — Temecula area teenage drivers and their parents are being invited to participate next month in a new California Highway Patrol program designed to keep young drivers safe on the road.
The CHP Temecula office's "Start Smart" program will highlight issues that newly licensed drivers have the least experience in handling, according to CHP Officer Ron Thatcher.
"This program entails collision avoidance techniques, collision causing elements, driver responsibilities, a number of testimonials and local area traffic collision trends," Thatcher said.
Reservations for the March classes are being accepted now. Interested parties can contact the CHP Temecula office at (951) 506-2000.
