REDLANDS (CBS) — Security cameras help Redlands police arrest a man for vandalizing an elementary school.
The cameras, installed through out the city, have helped Redlands police catch criminals after their force shrunk from 98 officers to 76.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 3, taggers tripped motion detectors which notified dispatchers to check the cameras at Lugonia School. The cameras caught the taggers in the act and notified officers.
One person was arrested, another escaped.
School officials say tagging has been a problem.
