'Inside Edition' Correspondent Catches Laptop Thieves In The Act

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — You take your laptop to a public place and just walk away for a minute...maybe to get a refill of your coffee.

And poof! Your laptop is gone in less than 60 seconds.

"Inside Edition" correspondent Lisa Guerrero took a laptop equipped with traffic devices to restaurants and coffee shops to see if they would be stolen while unattended.

No surprise.

The laptops were lifted more than a room of beauty contestants.
