LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Los Angeles Dodgers are taking it back to Brooklyn — for their jerseys.
The throwback uniforms will be worn at six midweek home games, which include half-price food and drinks for the first time at Dodger Stadium. Fans get to choose which style their team wears.
One uniform style was worn by the Brooklyn Dodgers 100 years ago — a 1911 road uniform with narrow pinstripes and the name “Brooklyn” displayed vertically down the button panel.
The second option is the 1931 road uniform, which sports a block capital “B” on the front of the jersey.
The third style is the 1940s era “Satin” road uniform, which is blue with “Dodgers” script in white.
Fans can vote for their favorite style starting today through Feb. 17 at dodgers.com/throwback.
The Dodgers will wear the uniforms for the first time on April 21 against the Braves, the anniversary of the franchise’s first victory, which also came against the Braves in 1890.
