Santa Ana Teen Shot In Apparent Drive-By

SANTA ANA (CBS) — A 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times in Santa Ana Thursday in what appeared to be a drive-by attack.

Santa Ana police responded at 12:47 p.m. to a report of shots fired at 800 N. Western Ave. Officers found the boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to officials.

A dark-colored vehicle reportedly was seen leaving the area.

The unidentified boy was listed in critical condition at UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was undergoing surgery Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
