The Los Angeles Fire Department says the water main break was reported at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Water invaded apartments and businesses, including a carpet store and a 7-Eleven convenience store. At least 60 people have been flushed out of their homes.

There are no injuries.

Department of Water and Power crews were still trying to plug the water main 90 minutes after it burst.
