Small Plane Crash Lands In Glendora

GLENDORA (CBS) — Two people are being airlifted after their small plane crash landed in a hillside area about 200 feet from a high school.

The crash occurred at 3:32 p.m. near St. Lucy’s Priory High School located at 655 E. Sierra Madre Avenue in Glendora, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The severity of the injuries was not immediately known.

    The pilot was VERY experienced, or VERY lucky. Looks like he might have had some trouble and decided to land right on top of the trees! Amazing site, looks like the plane is just parked right on the side of the hill. Of course, from St Lucy’s you can’t see the damage, but seriously looks like he just landed there, no problem. I hope he and his passenger are ok!!!!

    I was at Church of the Open Door which is above St. Lucy’s and it looks like they missed the top of the mountain by maybe 20 feet. I watched the rescue, I pray they are okay.
