LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Jack Salvatore, a pillar of broadcast journalism excellence at KNX Newsradio, went off the air this week after 26 years of service.
L.A. City Councilmen Tom Labonge and Dennis Zine honored Salvatore Friday in the City Hall press room.
“There’s something about news radio that really informs the public. They turn to it right away. KNX 1070 on the dial.”
Salvatore plans to return to acting, where he got his start as a child actor on the stage in “Damn Yankees.”
But Salvatore also plans to have some fun.
“Play a lot of bad golf,” he said.
