Unbeaten #4 SDSU Looking To Silence Critics

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- San Diego State's basketball players sense there are still skeptics out there who don't quite buy the Aztecs' lofty No. 4 national ranking.

So they know that a win at No. 9 BYU on Wednesday night would be a defining moment in the best season in school history.

SDSU (20-0) is the only other team in Division I besides No. 1 Ohio State to remain undefeated. BYU is 19-1 and led by Jimmer Fredette, the nation's leading scorer.

It'll be the biggest game in SDSU regular-season history and in the 12-year history of the Mountain West Conference.

SDSU senior point guard D.J. Gay says the game "is either going to be an 'I told you so,' or 'Wow, they're really that good.' "
