2 Arrested For Allegedly Throwing Potatoes At Cars

AZUSA (CBS2) — Police arrested two 20 year olds in connection with a vandalism spree in Azusa.

A press release by the Azusa Police Department said Charles Maciel and Michael Espinosa were detained early Sunday morning after officers received reports of vehicle damage in the 1300 block of N. San Gabriel and Dalton Avenues.

The men are accused of throwing potatoes at least six parked vehicles, causing over $2,000 in damage.

According to authorities, the two admitted to taking left-over potatoes from the restaurant where they worked to throw at cars and said they have done it for the past three weeks.
