Former Trojan Stafon Johnson Suing USC

(CBS) -- The Los Angeles Times reports that former USC Trojan football player Stafon Johnson is filing a personal injury lawsuit against USC and Jamie Yanchar, a former assistant strength and conditioning coach at USC.

In September 2009, Johnson had near-fatal injuries after a 275 pound barbell from the bench press fell on his neck in the Trojans workout room.

Johnson later signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans but missed all of this season after suffering a terrible ankle injury in the NFL preseason.
