GARDENA (AP) — A 15-year-old girl who was shot in the head when a smuggled gun went off at a Los Angeles high school is making progress and another wounded student is out of the hospital.

The girl’s skull was broken by a bullet that also hit a 15-year-old boy in the neck Tuesday at Gardena High School.

Dr. Gail Anderson at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center says the girl remains in critical condition Thursday but she’s more awake and can move her arms and legs a little better.

Anderson says the bullet that went through the boy’s neck missed major nerves, arteries and his spine. He was released from the hospital Wednesday night.

The government should BAN guns completely! Bet you if one of the National Rifle Association’s member kids were gunned down, they would ban it immediately!

  • Mike Rackhabet

Mayra Alexanda, please excuse me for pointing out the fact that you are CLUELESS! Completely ban guns you say? You, Lady are a HACK, A TROLL! stop posting on news boards. BAN Mayra Alexandra from the USA. Im Just gonna remind you that without guns this country would turn to S#IT! because all the criminals would still have guns. God forbid something ridiculous like this ignorant person has stated ever happen, less she be personally attacked by a criminal and beg for one of these “banned guns” to not save this ignoramus’ life. Lady choke on vomit.

Ban guns? Really? You are as ignorant as the child who brought the gun into the school. I blame the child, his parents and family for not paying attention to the signs and not educating the children they breed.
When do we look at the real issue instead of placing blame on the school or safety? It all starts with the education received at home.
Some parents send their children to school expecting for the school system and government to do their job in educating their children.
Wake up Americans, we live in the best country to live in, yes, country of opportunity for all.

“A 15-year-old girl who was shot in the head when a smuggled gun went off at a Los Angeles high school is making progress and another wounded student is out of the hospital.” should read…
“A 15-year-old girl(comma) who was shot in the head when a smuggled gun went off at a Los Angeles high school(comma) is making progress(comma) and another wounded student is out of the hospital.”

Great punctuation! this makes absolutely no sense without the proper punctuations. Please fix this a.s.a.p. It’s making me dumber by the second.
