2 Burned, 1 Critically, In Van Nuys Apartment Fire

VAN NUYS (CBS) — Two women were burned Thursday, one critically, in an apartment fire in Van Nuys.

Firefighters sent to the 6400 block of Fulton Avenue at 9 a.m. quickly extinguished the fire, which started in a kitchen, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Paramedics transported both women for hospital treatment. The second women suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
