LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Virgin America, the California-based low-fare airline, Wednesday began nonstop flights to Cancun International Airport from Los Angeles International Airport.
The airline will begin direct flights to Cancun from San Francisco International Airport, its base of operations, starting tomorrow.
The launch marks the third international destination for the thre-year-old carrier and its 14th destination in North America, said David Cush, president and CEO of Virgin America.
The carrier's fares to Cancun start at $139.
