Galaxy Sign Colombian Forward Juan Pablo Angel

CARSON, Calif. (AP) -- The Los Angeles Galaxy have signed Colombian forward Juan Pablo Angel to a multiyear contract.

Angel had spent the previous four seasons with the New York Red Bulls.

The club's all-time leading scorer with 61 goals in all competitions, Angel set a Red Bull record in his first season by scoring 19 goals in 24 games in 2007.

Angel helped lead the Red Bulls to the MLS Cup a year later for the first time in club history, scoring a team best 14 goals. He had two more in the postseason.

He was named to his third All-Star team in 2010, as he scored 13 goals.
